About Us.

The Texas AAU Youth Football and Cheer League (TXAAUYFL) is the premier platform for youth athletes across Texas. We build champions through excellence, character, and community.

Texas AAU League Celebration
Overview

While the league operates under the umbrella of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), one of the largest non-profit youth sports organizations in the U.S., its Texas chapter has built a distinct identity focused on excellence, character development, and community engagement.

Key Highlights of the League's History

Foundation and Growth: The Texas AAU Youth Football and Cheer League has expanded over the years, reaching communities throughout Texas and providing consistent, organized competition for youth programs.
Mission and Vision: The league emphasizes building strong athletes through training, sportsmanship, and academic accountability.
Widespread Participation: TXAAUYFL hosts seasonal events, including the fall tackle football and cheer season, with participation from clubs in North, Central, and South Texas.
Leadership and Organization: The league is led by dedicated administrators who play a pivotal role in organizing events, managing operations, and fostering partnerships.
Community Impact: Beyond athletics, the league supports initiatives such as military and veterans appreciation, scholarship opportunities, and youth recognition.
Important Distinction: Our league is aligned with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), focused on amateur sports, not the academic Association of American Universities.

"The mission of the Amateur Athletic Union is to offer amateur sports programs for people of all ages to develop physical, mental, and moral character."
